Thanks Phlock23. Those are helpful comments and I will include them in the next image. I am working on a wider view of the space.

Attached is a kitchen I am working on. It has some design issues to be resolved, but it is coming along.

I want to toss my own two tenths of a cent in on the block WIP. I like the idea and think that it's starting to look a lot better. Compositionally, there seems to be this weird paradox between what you're trying to do and what you're actually doing. The idea of utilizing the dof is to create something that stands out by being the object or objects that are in focus while everythign else blurs to the background. However I see this image as fighting against that simply by the colors and the placement of the light and shadow. The letters of the blocks are in shadow and thus make it harder to read and instead my attention is focused more to the light carpet which the blocks rest atop of. Think about a way to light the scene that would try to rectify that. Possibly toning down the exterior light or making an evening/dusk shot that illuminates the scence from the interior.
I really like the idea and suggest you keep up the great work!
Hope that helps!

Thanks lilmac024! Good points, I plan to use dof on projects when needed rather than something added across the board. Looking back I am not sure where I was going with the blocks. I had an off week, due to serveral projects going on hold and tried some new settings and approaches. I think it was time well spent and I appreciate all of the feed back. Fortunatly my plate has filled back up and I can get on with the business of staying in business!
